Here’s a conversation I have all the time.
A client’s thrilled with their new site. It’s clean, it’s fast, it looks great, exactly what we set out to build. Then a few weeks in comes the real question: “Okay, so how do we get in front of people who are actually searching for what we do?”
And I give them the honest answer. We build in the basics on every site, the on-page SEO that gives Google something to work with. But getting a site to actually rank, the kind that brings in real business, is a different skill set. If you’re serious about getting found, you don’t want a web designer dabbling in SEO on the side. You want someone who does it all day.
So when they need that, I don’t fumble through it and hope for the best. I send them to Zechariah Tokar.
Here’s the thing about me and recommendations: I don’t hand them out to be nice. Usually I’ll point someone in a direction and move on with my day. Zechariah is one of the few people I’ll actually put my name next to, because he does the work himself. You’re not getting passed to some junior learning on your dime. It’s him, start to finish, and he’s straight with you about what your site actually needs.
Why a one page website still needs SEO
One-page sites are great. I build them all the time. They’re clean, they load fast, and for a lot of businesses they’re exactly the right call.
But a single page doesn’t hand Google much to work with. Without real attention to the technical side and the right keywords, even a gorgeous one-page site ends up buried on page 5 of Google where nobody’s looking.
And it’s 2026, so it’s not only Google anymore. People ask AI tools who to hire now, and showing up in AI search is a separate trick entirely. Which is, again, exactly why I don’t pretend I can do it myself.
What he’s actually pulled off
Zechariah’s worked with 40+ companies, a lot of them right after they launched a new site (honestly the smartest time to start). And he’ll show you the receipts. A few he’s told me about:
- An ecommerce client whose Google sales jumped 300% after he optimized the site.
- A real estate business that landed #1 for a brutally competitive local search.
- A service business now pulling in 10+ organic leads a month.
- One client who went from totally invisible to #1 on Google Maps in a week.
He even runs the occasional unconventional play, like a Reddit campaign of his that hit 405k views. (Told you, not your average SEO guy.)
I haven’t personally audited the numbers, so take them as his to back up rather than mine. But they line up with everything I’ve seen from him.
Who I actually send his way
If you’ve got a one-page site, or any simple site, that nobody’s finding, you’re his person. Same goes if you’d rather work directly with one experienced SEO specialist than disappear into a big agency’s queue. He stays focused on the stuff that moves the needle: real organic traffic, better search engine rankings, and showing up when someone asks an AI for a recommendation. Not a dashboard full of numbers you’ll never open.
Go send him your site
If you launched something and it’s just sitting there unfound, talk to him. He looks at every site himself and he’ll tell you straight whether he’s the right fit.
